I am part of a year 10 DIT class, that teaches students how to program and create our own digital design style.
This is my first year taking DIT as a subject. I have learnt a lot of new skills and techniques, and enjoed it!
To the left you can see some of the programs that I have learnt to use and some of the programs I use on quite a regular basis.
Scratch is a programming language and an online community where people can program and share interactive media such as stories, games, and animation with people from all over the world.
I have used scratch to design a few interactive games and systems for assessments. I can program a character/sprite by building a script to follow simple commands.

Neocities is a free web hosting service.
I have used Neocities as a platform for building this website. I can build html code and style it using a css stylesheet. I can use tags such as divs, p, and ul, to order and organise a website.
The Photoshop software allows users to manipulate, crop, resize, and correct colour on digital photos.
I have used Photoshop to resize and manipulate images. I can cut out an image from its background using the cutting tool.
Notepad++ is a text editor and source code editor for use with Microsoft Windows.
I have used Notepad++ mainly as a learning tool, when I was learning the basics to html and css.
Google Docs is a free Web-based application in which documents and spreadsheets can be created, edited and stored online.
I have used Google Docs to type up any homework or information that needs to be typed. I have also used Google Docs as a spell check to ensure I spell correctly when working on a project like this one.
Adobe InDesign can be used to create works such as posters, flyers, brochures, magazines, newspapers, and books.
I have used In Design to create a 4 page A5 booklet, a couple of times for assessments. I can format text including hyphenation.
Adobe Illustrator is typically used to create illustrations, charts, graphs, logos, diagrams, cartoons of real photographs, and more.
I have used Illustrator to create shapes. I have also used it to create a crisper WOW logo for my project.
Moqups is an app used by people around the world to create wireframes, mockups, UI concepts or prototypes for their projects.
I have used moqups to plan layouts for when I have built websites.
Draw.io is completely free online diagram editor, that enables you to create flowcharts, UML, entity relation, network diagrams, mockups and more.
I have used Draw.io to create flowcharts to plan how I will program a script in Scratch.
